Closing down

Right before I left for NY, I got this in the mail from Edith, an under 10 book maker! I love it and am hoping that it serves as an able beacon through the coming year, a year that I have for some reason been looking forward to since this one started. I think it's going to be great.
After preparing for yesterday's flight to Hopkins, I still feel very ambivalent about where home is. This was a perfect day in Central Park, walking from the east side to the west side, and feeling deep peace on my right side (the side closest to the reservoir). The ducks were all very still, heads buried in their bodies. Hoping for more walks along the water with duck companions—not only for the new year, but for the rest of my years.
