For those of you who want to buy art to support the Manhattan Graphics Center, my fave community printshop in NYC, I got this message today from my intaglio teacher, Fred:
I want to tell you about a benefit auction for the Manhatttan Graphics Center, which is being held at Bloomsbury Auctions (6 West 48th Street) at 6 pm next Tuesday, November 3. MGC is raising fund to help us move all the presses and equipment to a new home.
I have 3 prints in the auction and there are 250 other great works that will be auctioned with no reserve and no buyer's premium. For people who want to collect original art work, this will be a fantastic chance to get great work at reasonable prices.

More than money, what MGC needs is a new space. So if anyone has any ideas about a space for a non-profit art group, we would love to talk to them. If you have any questions or ideas, please contact me. If you know someone who is interested in prints please forward this.
